2010.

August 29, 2010

I guess 2010 has more meaning because it comes with double zeroes. For me, it signifies money and we do not want to have thinner wallets and emptier pockets this year. There is no excuse not to save because like the wise men always say, take away 10% of your earnings and forget about it. I am happy to share with you that I have taken away 20% of my earnings for 6 months now, January-June, my minimum should be at least 10% :) . So is it time to buy gold coins? Not enough savings yet to afford gold. But according to US Gold Bureau, Gold and Crude oil is where our investments should go especially these hard times.

F.A.M.I.L.Y.

August 29, 2010

I have reached a point in my life where I am gearing more on positivity and focusing my time and energy on people that truly matters to me. I have sifted relationships in my life and I feel lighter now that I only hold a handful of people close to my hearts. Of course, family will always be my top priority because these are the people who will never judge you even if you forgot to get them stuff from Baldwin hardware, among other petty family stuff. I love my life now and I love how I am able to sift through my thoughts.

love for sleep

August 28, 2010

My husband and I love to plan a lot about the future. I feel safer and secured if we had concrete plans for our family’s future. As of date, I am still waiting for that big dream job of mine. I have passed the exam and interview but the confirmation of the job offer isn’t offered to me yet pending other security and reliability checks. If I get rejected then we will move to plan B, which is to make another baby and probably the last one. We can only afford and plan to have 2 kids. The little boy who seems to be the most excited one about this plan cannot help but talk about it to our relatives and his friends at school. In fact, he already has a name for his future sibling. Then, he will tell me about his plan of asking me and his dad to buy a wood bunk bed for him and his future sibling. He plans to sleep on the top part while his future sibling on the lower part. Speaking of bunk beds, I saw these bunk beds for sale at momsbunkhouse.com. Their collection are so vast that I cannot stop myself from looking. Do you think now is the right time to shop for one? I bet it would not be put to waste as my husband and I can always squeeze in the room of my little boy whenever we feel like spending the night at his room.

Moving Quotes and Pages

August 28, 2010

You have realized a distressing truth: your collection of books, journals and oh so valued pages will have to be moved and soon. You’re leaving your home to seek another; you’re traveling across city streets and country miles; and the most important things you own will have to be cataloged, boxed away and subjected to the twists and turns of the road. You’re mildly horrified. And this is why it essential that — after you gather the needed moving quotes and prices — you follow the necessary rules of packing.

1. Inventory: Your books are more than simple words and leather bindings. They are instead favored memories. It is vital therefore that you chart out the existence of every single one (or at least the ones that offer perfect conditions and possible worth). While packing, be certain that you write the title and edition of each book; taking a photo of the more expensive volumes is also wise. Should anything happen during a move, you need proof of your belongings. Your list could be invaluable.

2. Pack wisely: ‘Less is more’ is not simply a cliche; it’s a wisdom. Books — no matter how adored — are heavy. Simple stacks can turn into body-aching work in an alarmingly short amount of time. Be certain that you place no more than 20 to 30 pounds in each box, spreading your collection out evenly. This will spare you the agony of overstuffed containers.

3. Plan ahead: You may not, when you arrive at your new home, have time to immediately re-shelve your books. They may instead have to wait weeks or even months before they’re seen again. You must take precautions against possible water or mold damage then — keep them stored off the floor; choose plastic containers (well sealed) instead of cardboard; and be certain the storage area is not susceptible to moisture.

Moving is difficult. Moving your books, however, requires only simple sense and patience.

tenth wedding anniversary

August 28, 2010

For the past few days, I am so in love with my husband. I cannot stop looking at him. Am I conceiving our 2nd bundle of joy? I wonder why.

That or I guess I have fully matured that even though I used to be easily pissed with his quirks and corny antics, right now, I laugh at them and love every bit of it. We are turning 7 this year, 7 years of marriage but 15 years of love and friendship. We were even discussing this morning that we might push through with our plan to renew our vows on our tenth wedding anniversary. I wanted it very intimate but officiated by a priest. Hopefully, we will have a budget for it and a time to plan for it. That would definitely be one of the best wedding anniversary gifts! Speaking of gifts, you might want to check out JustPaperRoses.com for all of your anniversary gifts. Look at this flower vase in Aluminum that I found. A perfect 10th wedding anniversary gift!

love for dresses

August 28, 2010

One of my fondest memories include my high school prom. Not many of you know that hubby was my partner during that special night. I actually chose him by accident because the boy that I was eyeing to be my prom partner was asked by someone. A close friend of mine who requested that she choose my 1st choice of partner. That boy and I used to date and while he was very disappointed that I did not ask him to be my partner, I just had to explain to him that I needed to give way to my friend. So I chose hubby to be my partner because he seemed to really nice and harmless. And is someone who I would be proud to present to my folks then. I remembered how my mom and I were stressed out in looking for evening dresses. She was the one who was more excited than I was. I was actually feeling weird and did not want to go anymore. But, my bestfriend convinced me that it would be only a once in a lifetime event so why should I miss it. When ‘the’ night came, I was surprised that hubby has to choose a matching necktie and suit to match my cocktail prom gown. I did not realize until that night that hubby was indeed researching and asking around on what I would be wearing. Moving on, I noticed that prom dresses now can be compared to wedding dresses. Girls these days can be very picky when it comes to their prom dresses. They can be very stylish, elegant and yet stay to be modern. I actually saw some nice and unique dresses at Jessicaiverson.com. They also have some nice maternity dresses.
